Went through a little period where I thought I could become a gym rat. We parted ways.
But as in my usual modus operandi, I got excited and of course went out and bought a whole bunch of crap that somehow made sense at the time.
So I was left with a lot of junky shirt luggage which I had to unload. Seriously, I would never wear this stuff out in public (or outside of a gym).
Look at this shirt -- I didn’t stop at 1 shirt, I got 2 in black alone.
I hate throwing stuff out and I hate having them mocking me every time I see them.
Sooooo, I’m doing something about it. Especially since there are 2 in one color alone.
I decided to turn those 2 into a drop waist dress.
Now for a bit of technical stuff. You're more than welcome to skip any part you like ;) Unless you happen to need it.
For shirt # 1 -- Went down about 22” from the HPS (High Shoulder Point) – it is the one crossing the neckline and shoulder. Usually the waist is about 17” down in the back from the HPS .
I use tissue paper when sewing knit. It helps to stabilize the fabric. I get a whole bunch at the dollar store and cut them into 2”-3” strips and just use them whenever.
And now you have a really funny looking thing on your hands.
Getting there. Wooohoooo!
Now let’s see what else we can do.
Definitely more wearable. Yayyyy!!!
